Palkittuja hääkuvia | AGWPJA 2013 Q1

Kaksi hääkuvaani palkittiin The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association -järjestön vuoden 2013 ensimmäisen neljänneksen kilpailussa. - - -

Two of my photos were awarded in the The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association's quarter one competition.

9th Place: Ceremony.  Judges Comment: Very memorable and surreal setting. Strong use of color and composition.

 

9th Place: Portrait of Bride AND Groom Alone. Judges Comment: The placement of the couple above the snow bank is a really nice touch. Strong graphic appeal.

 

The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Harri Rauhanummi. The following awards have been earned by Harri from the AG|WPJA. These achievements come with great merit considering the high level of competition that a member faces in the contests.

 

Häät Tervatoppilan Jazzvintillä | Hääkuvaaja Oulu

Oulu oli vielä aivan harmaa, kun pidimme näiden toukokuisten häiden suunnittelupalaveria. Kuitenkin jo viikkoa myöhemmin hääpäivänä koivut olivat lehdessä ja maailma vihreä. Niinpä saimme otettua kauniita hääpotretteja myös luonnon helmassa, vaikka hääparin toiveena olikin pääosin kaupunkihenkisiä hääkuvia. Kuvaus aloitettiinkin hääpotreteilla, jonka jälkeen hääpari vihittiin Oulujoen kauniissa puukirkossa Oulujoen varrella. Kirkolta siirryimme viettämään hääjuhlaa Tervatoppilan Jazzvintille, missä hääpäivä eteni rauhalliseen tahtiin syöden, puheita kuunnellen ja tanssien. Hääpäivän ohjelmaa ei kannatakaan rakentaa liian tiiviiksi, sillä on mukavaa, että vieraille jää aikaa jutella keskenään ja hääparin kanssa.

Oulu was totally grey when we held a pre-wedding consultation a week before the wedding in may. But when the big day arrived everything was green and we could take some beautiful portraits in nature too even though the couple mainly wanted urban wedding portraits.

The day started with one hour portrait session and after that we moved to church by the Oulu river. Reception was arranged to Tervatoppila Jazzvintti where the wedding day progressed in a calm manner by eating, listening to speeches and by dancing. It is vise to leave a little slack into your schedule because it nice that people have time to chat with each other and with you too.
